The diameter size of your round pen is important to maximise the efficiency of your training.
Experts agree 50-60ft is the optimal size for most horses.
Larger than 60ft means you could lose the connection and find it much harder to keep the horse moving. However, you may need the extra room for the larger Warmblood breeds.
Too small could create tension for the horse if he feels he can't escape and gives less room for larger horses to be able to move freely. There is also evidence of physical stress on the outside legs, especially the ligaments and tendons.
Under 40ft ft is considered too small for horses, but plenty of space to work your miniatures.
Each set comes complete with a number of panels to make up a round or square enclosure plus a gate. The gate is high enough to enter whilst mounted and comes with a chain to close.
The panels can be adapted to any shape or size simply by moving or adding sections.
The sizes we offer are purely a guideline
any size is possible!
